Stream subtitles with chroma key displayed via VerseCAST - Bible presentation software

Network setup for Advanced Displays

VerseCAST provides multiple display outputs that you can use as the main presentation a foyer screen, stream subtitles or a stage display at your church. These displays work by hosting a web page on the device running VerseCAST.

You can find the URL to open in Menu / Displays.

Since the URL or IP address of your device can change due to how network protocols work, you need to make the address permanent.

Follow these simple steps to set everything up.

Preparation

I the following steps you will set a static IP address for the device running VerseCAST. This is necessary so your display URL won't change every time you reconnect to your WiFi.

It is a limitation of internet protocols and hardware.

Note:

  • MAC address - It is a unique name that the WiFi router uses to identify the connected device (example: A1-B2-C3-D4-E5-F6 or A1:B2:C3:D4:E5:F6)

  • IP address - is an URL address just like www.google.com that is assigned to the devices by your router on the local network (example: 192.168.0.111)
