  • No. VerseCAST runs entirely on your phone or tablet (Android or iOS).

  • VerseCAST works with any Smart TV with a web browser or Google Cast.

    • Android TVs (Sony, Hisense, TCL, and Philips) can connect via Google Cast.

    • Samsung, LG, and Vizio TVs can connect through their built-in web browsers.

    • Projectors and older TVs can be used with a Google Chromecast TV 4K plugged into an available HDMI port. You can also use Firestick, Roku, XiaomiTV or any smart TV dongle that has a web browser or supports Google Cast

    • Many WiFi-enabled projectors also include web browsers or Google Cast support, including models from Epson, BenQ, ViewSonic, Anker, LG, Optoma, Sony, Xiaomi, and XGIMI.

  • Any Bible that can be found in YouVersion app can be used without any additional charge.

    Including KJV, NIV, ESV, AMP, ASV, Spanish, German, Waray, Hindi..

    YouVersion provides more than 2500 versions of Bible - all of which can be used

  • No, Chromecast/web browsers require WiFi with internet access. Larger bandwidth is not necessary but a slower connection might impact your experience.

  • Yes. The UI is intentionally simple for non-technical users.

  • The icon in the right corner of VerseCAST connects to Google Cast capable displays. Any other display can me connected via the URL that can be found in Menu/Displays.

    If you have a Google Cast capable display and still can't see your display: Make sure that both the Display and device running VerseCAST are connected to the same WiFi.

  • You can connect to any Android TV, or a device that can display a Web Page.

  • VerseCAST supports multiple displays. You just open an URL in that you can find in Menu > Displays. This includes multiple outputs of the main presentation as a Confidence monitor and Stream lower - third subtitle outputs.

  • The device running VerseCAST does not render the outputs. It just commands what the receiving display should render. This means that even if the network drops for a while - the presentation will keep rendering - including time updates, countdowns and background animations.

  • You can connect VerseCAST to your streaming software (OBS, vMIX) to overlay the main presentation or subtitles.

  • You need to provide enough power for the Google Chromecast 4K dongle using a properly spec'd power brick.

    The USB port on the TV/Projector might not be strong enough. The original power brick is 5V, 1.5A USB-C

  • On your Android TV or Google Chromecast:

    • Go to Settings > System > About

    • Tap multiple times on ‘Android TV OS Build’ until you see a ‘You are now a developer’ message

    • Go to Settings > System > Developer options and set ‘Stay awake’ to ON (blue)

  • To make VerseCAST most easy to use

    • Purchase Google Chromecast 4k dongle with a remote - so you can change WiFi easyli

    • You can create a WiFi hotspot on your phone to connect your display

    • You can purchase one of the portable LTE routers with WiFi and a battery.

    • You can use a tablet as a portable display
